Moving fuse box

Getting a home extension planned out at the moment and there is going to be a need to move the fuse box - From talking to a number of people, I gather this is not an easy job so I'll try to keep the distance from its current location to the new location as short as possible.

My question is; can any electrician do this work or is there a specific qualification\certification required to undertake such a job?

They must be a member of RECI, i.e. a Registered Electrical Contractor (REC).

There is a list on the RECI/Safe Electric website.
