Unpaid bill from A&E

So I went to the A&E two months ago and got a bill for €100 but at the moment I'm broke with no job.

I've read on here that you can basically just ignore it as they use threatening language and pass the debt on to a debt collection agency but don't do anything. They apparently can't do anything since hospital bills are a civil and not criminal issue.

Should I worry? The last time I got an MRI two years back, I didn't pay for five months until I got the money. Is it safe to say that I can ignore this until next year or possibly forever?

Thanks for you post mr_fegelien. Your question isn't a personal issue as much a query about a bill.

I'm going to move it over to Long Term Illness where you might be able to get some answers.

    Thanks

    HS
