    **HALVE**

It's taken us over 18 months to get to this point, from thinking what to do to our Discovery, and to actually get everything in place. It is our first project in our entire lives and the amount of time and effort we have done behind the scenes to get here is quite staggering.

This part was quite the moment for us. We filmed for 3 weeks straight in Norwest Classic Custom bodyshop in Letterkenny in County Donegal. Then Gee Whizz 4x4 Land Rover specialists brought over our customised Defender 130 chassis that was finally rolling 18 months after the factory manufactured it in Northern Ireland.

We could not believe the amount of work that goes into a vehicle when you visit a top-notch outfit, hopefully that comes across in the video without being too boring. We have so much footage its crazy, but we have tried to balance out getting what was involved across, and not be too tedious. The final result is absolutely amazing and it actually felt quite emotional as we could see the excitement on everyone's faces as they were able to see for the first time what we have been imagining for the last 18 months.

The next step is back to the garage where it will have all the doors rebuilt, and new parts put on. Everything is new and pretty high spec, way better than standard. A good few things are custom made as this is the world's first-ever Discovery 130 solid-walled camper.

Then it will be away to the coachbuilders for the camper unit to be constructed on the back. We can hardly contain ourselves with excitement! If you enjoy it, please give it a thumbs up and we encourage you to share it if you like.

    Thanks for watching.

The vehicle is a Land Rover Discovery 1. We took an angle grinder to it and literally cut it in half. Then attached a fibreglass kit to the back of it to close it off, and then filmed the bodyshop.

You can see the body is very small now, literally half its original size.

Ya you made a 2 door disco. Just something about the title had me expecting to see one of those sliced down the middle display pieces.

Great work, but from the title, I thought this was going to be about some dodgy body repair shop cutting your car in half and you secretly filming it

After being in the Landie garage for just over a year, it's finally out and ready to go to the coachbuilders for the rear camper unit to be built.

And so this is where we got to today. Over 3 years this has taken. We are now only a couple of weeks from completion. The roof lifts up so nicely on the actuators. Now we just need to install the electrical system, fit out the interior, install roof rack, lights, tidy up the interior and we are all set!

It has been a while since I posted! She is currently off the road as a bird has nested behind the grill and is raising 4 baby White Wagtails!
