    Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a mitre saw for the odd bit of cutting we do. It would be used for cutting rough timber mostly but if I could get something that could cut metal also, say up to 5mm thick steel, angle iron, alu tube, etc that would be ideal. I imagine this would require different blades but I'd be happy with that. I'd like to be able to do compound cuts also.. as in up to 45deg in both planes.

Can anyone recommend a decent mitre saw that'll do the above for under say €500?

    Thanks

The "evolution" brand are usually the go to brand for metal/timber etc.
