My mother unfortunately passed away due to unknown causes on July 16th. I have the family task of selling her car to help recover funeral expenses. How do I go about doing this when it's not in my name ?

Just advertise it and sign the log book in her name. Bought hundreds of cars over the years, there'll be no problems.

    Sorry for your loss.

First of all, sorry for your loss. I know that its not an easy time.

The change of ownership can be signed by one of the executors of your mother's estate - they just need to put Executor after the signature and the change of ownership will be processed by Shannon without any issues.

I was executor executor of my fathers will a few years ago, which included selling his car. I signed the change of ownership myself and sent a note along with it explaining the situation. No problem at all. Very sorry for your loss.

if your mother has a credit union account there is a death benfit to help cover the cost of the funeral.
In my local credit union it was about 1350 euro.

And ignore the below, which is both fraud and theft and could get you in trouble with relatives down the line.
