I am looking at buying a new build with air to water underfloor heating throughout but no mechanical ventilation system. I was wondering if this is OK. Will there be a damp problem? Will the air be stale? Will there be overheating issues?

Not an energy expert but I don’t think your heating system matters for the question you are asking around ventilation.

Since it’s a new build I’d assume the house is well insulated, decent windows and possibly airtight. In that scenario you really need to be looking at ventilation.

Moisture from kitchen, toilets and bathrooms has to go somewhere. And it’s just much more pleasant and healthier in a properly ventilated house.
