Probably played second division for a season, a relative nobody, media always hype importance and stature through headline

    Very true,
Hes a former footballer in England and Ireland and aged 31. Probably played a season in carlisle before being let go given a chance with St Pats and didnt cut it.

He never made it in England, but his brothers would be full internationals.

If what I read is correct, theyre brothers from a footballing family. The younger one had a less successful career, but the older one was decent and has represented Ireland.

They aren't related. You've misread. One has brothers who represented Ireland.

Reminds me of Eddie van Boxtel.
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.independent.ie/irish-news/courts/ex-leeds-star-jailed-for-35m-drugs-seizure-30930619.html
A FORMER Leeds United goalkeeper who once saved a penalty from Eric Cantona was jailed for seven-and-a-half years after he admitted possession of cannabis resin worth €3.5m for sale or supply.[\QUOTE]

Reporting in both pieces makes the players sound much more prolific than they were (or possibly were in this new case). Headline's worth a fair few clicks, though.

Johnny Giles and Eamon Dunphy played in the LoI and England, but they're no longer 31. Would be funny if it was them who were involved.

I read the 41 year old was the eldest brother on another forum.

I heard the other guy is a manager in the Leinster Snr Lge. I was given a name too, but no idea if true. Obviously not gonna name him here. Surely headline would be plural and include Irish International if it was the elder brother?

It was Eamon, there was a bit of confusion, but it's only one arrest, 31 & 41 added together is 72, so I'd say it's a 72 year old footballer who played in England, and it's obviously Eamon, which means it must have been coke instead of heroin, so it was just a bit for his own use. All the signs point to him.
