Another TV licence query - summons

I was wondering how long after a TV license is due, would I expect a summons to arrive?

Also, how is it delivered, does it have to be hand delivered directly to me?

My situation is that mine was due at the end of April, and the last time I was at my house in Dublin was just after St. Patricks Day, before the lockdown, and I hadn't been back to the house until a few days ago, when I got the 3 letters (Renew, Please Renew, and RENEWAL OVERDUE). The last "renewal overdue" letter is dated 11th June.

I paid online a short while ago.

    Should I be worried?

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realise that there was a TV license thread, this can be deleted by a mod.

Not if you now have a licence.

If you have paid you have nothing to worry about, if you receive a summons you can either contact them and explain or you turn up on court date and show the judge that you have it.

    A renewal notice isn't a summons.

A summons would require a licence inspector calling to the house, speaking to the occupant, finding an unlicenced TV and initiating a court process.

You have since purchased a licence so you can relax (I think).

OP has asked this in the TV Licensing thread so I’ll close this
