looking at upgrading my bog standard rear window bike carrier to something a little more robust. the bikes i intend on carrying with it have big hoops. 60mm aned 55mm. looking at the thule and saris towbar carriers where the bikes sit on a platform. im wondering though if it would a carrier like that be suitable with deep wheels on the back. im thinking the large wind resistance the wheels may encounter as a drive. driving an average sized suv. anyway drive to races with their bikes on a carrier such as this?

I've a Thule bike roof carrier and my TT has a 90 on back 60 on front.

I use cable ties to extend the Thule straps. Works fine once you pull them tight.
