Just wondering, would travel to France near end if August still be advised against?
I booked flights and hotels back in June, but see France still on list of non essential travel.

Oddly, hotel prices for sane room I booked ha e now gone up 65%

I can't see France making the green list before end of August. I'd be thinking more October if I had to guess earliest possible making green list.

France is at 22.4 right now and has basically doubled in the last fortnight.

We are heading back rapidly to a full lockdown in Western Europe, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands have seen numbers surge.

I'd expect a intra Schengen decision to shut borders again, and I'd bet your flights get cancelled as the EU will have to shut up shop again
