Pretty ancient mower not disengaging. I have attached picture.
I was looking thru YouTube, I can't see my type of system. Below the engine there's a double pulley. 1 for drive and 1 for mower. There's a lever on a type of gear. Pull tight to engage mower. Loose doesn't engage. Trying to find correct name of part to look up and see if serviceable or how to replace.

Car maintenance DIY -> Gardening with long redirect.

It'd probably help if you mentioned the brand etc of the mower.

Not familiar with that but it may be a cone type clutch that has got stuck from being laid up.

Try driving it into some very thick grass with lever set to disengaged. That may jolt it free.

Otherwise it's probably a dismantling job.

Finally found it. It's a mechanical clutch part number 532179887.
Expensive part. Is this part serviceable. Can't find much on it on web search.
