I have a virgin hub 3.0 and I run it with ethernet cable and it to
    Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Smart WIFI Router(R8000)

But My new laptop which I only started using keeps disconnecting from network keep getting the globe symbol,

Would a WiFi adapter help even though I'm using the Nighthawk and if so any recommendations

    Thanks in Advance

You have to trouble shoot it. Which means start off with a simple setup and test it. Then add complexity and test each step.

Test with the wire from laptop to VM hub.
Test with wireless to VM hub
Test with wire to new router
Text with WiFi to new router

    Etc.

Could be simply power saving on your laptops WiFi card. I tend to turn it off.
