I need help with a PC build. Will be used as work pc. Ill run work stuff in a virtual machine to keep personal stuff separate. Ill also run some Linux VMs. All within VMWare workstations.
I've been on same pc for 10 years so figure due an upgrade. I want something really quick and that can handle up to 3 monitors. Also would like it to be as quite as possible. No plans to be gaming on it.

1. What is your budget? €1000, but will stretch to more if needed.

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Work \ internet browsing. Running virtual machines within VMWare workstation. Shouldnt be running more than 2 at once.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I have a GTX1060 full size. But am willing to just sell it if its too big for case.

5. Do you need a monitor? No

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

8. How can you pay? Any way

9. When are you purchasing? Within the next few weeks

I'll be dead honest I haven't a f*cking clue about what kinda power you need for what your running because I've 0 experience with it but since no one else seemed to post anything I'll stick something up to give you ideas and hopefully give the thread a bit of a bump.

Honestly might be seriously overkill, like I said, I've no idea what horsepower is needed but when I converted from pounds to euro it came out at 936 euro so we'll call it 950 for leeway with possible delivery charges etc.

Possible things you could do with the extra 50 is go for 32gb of ram instead of 16, get a better motherboard or add more storage. I didn't include any gpu as you have a 1060 you could probably use for the 3 screens and I'm guessing you don't need much gpu power. You'll have a better idea yourself probably but that's something to base off of possibly

If you're going with a ryzen 7 I'd stick with the stock wraith prism cooler that comes with it. I've been using it on my ryzen 7 and it's perfect, looks good also.

Sorry to hijack the thread but ko, is that bequiet better than the eSports 34 duo? Looking to get a budget enough air cooler and was considering the eSports 34 but if that bequiet is better for less I'll chance it

eSports 34 Duo will keep things cooler, Pure Rock 2 is quieter.
