WiFi extender/mesh device

    I've just moved into a new place and the router is in one corner of the house and in a room with block walls so upstairs and the other corner of the house doesn't get a great signal.

    What are my options for extending the signal? I read about the TP link plugs but also read very mixed reviews about them?

    Check they'll actually work first. If your wiring is on separate loops you're out of luck.

    The "ideal" setup would be some form of MESH network, with the individual units wired together via CAT5/6 network cables.

    In most houses, all the power sockets are wired back to a single board, so powerline adapters (Like TP link/NetGear etc) could be used to connect the various units in a mesh network together if CAT5/6 not an option.

    Lest optimal would be using WiFi for the mesh to connect, but you can sometimes place them to get around a wall or blockage.
