Gas Boiler - Rainwater

During heavy rain, my mother's Vokèra boiler leaks water out the bottom. The back of her terraced house is completly exposed to the elements, so I am guessing rainwater might be getting blown into the flue and flowing back down through the boiler. Flue comes straight out the back wall of the house. Concerned this will damage the boiler overtime.

Dr. Goolge has thrown up the idea of a flue cowl or was looking at this thinking if facing downwards, it might reduce the exposure of the flue opening to the elements

Wondering if any of these might solve the issue or if someone might have some ideas on how to stop this happening?

    Cheers

Talk to your Rgi about options. You are not allowed to make any adjustments to the flue

As Dtp1979 says, better have an RGI out to have a look first.

The plume defector you added link for will not resolve your issue I'm afraid.
