Electric combi boiler

    I frend of mine from the uk has a house here thst needs complete fitout.
    They are talking about a completely electric combi boiler for heating and hot water.
    I dont know anything about such boilers - i would have considered those to be suitable for apartments etc where other options might be difficult.
    Surely they would be expensive to run compared to other heating options?
    Are they even a runner for a 4 bed house in terms of being capable of heating it -before you even get to Energy regs?
