Having a really odd issue, got a new Sony Xperia 10 ii last week from Amazon (rightly or wrongly I'm a huge Sony fan and have had many). I have NFC switched on in settings but first the NFC tile was greyed out and then after I restarted it has disappeared. Have tried turning it on and off, safe mode, and even the dreaded factory reset. I can't use the PC companion as I don't have a windows/mac device.

Google hasn't found any issues with this model. I have raised a ticket with Sony but just wondering if anyone else has had an issue? I've tried my leapcard and other phones to see if it's working without the tile but it's not :( I would tend to use NFC for leap card top up and Google Pay

I havent heard of any NFC issues but try this
Go into the dialler and type
    *#*#7378423#*#*
--> Service Tests--> NFC Test -->nfc diag test
I just put it near my visa card and it pinged and said Tag Reading Ok
--> I did the above on an Xperia XZ3 but it should be the same for you

You are a superstar, this is reading tags. It definitely wasn't earlier so I don't know what's happened but I'm no longer in fear of being without my phone for weeks. Thanks so much!
