No Ports in Cabinet/Exchange

    Hi All,

Trying to get broadband to a house that was last serviced about 2 years ago.

Two suppliers (Eir & Vodafone) have said no Ports in the exchange and advised the best option is to keep trying other suppliers as they might have a port in the particular cabinet.

Two other suppliers have booked dates for installation but I’m wondering if they still depends on them arriving out to see the cabinet or is it that they have checked already and do have a port available?

Also, Other than just keep on trying until I happen to pick up an empty/cancelled port is there any suggestions who to nudge or a path to follow?

    Ta much

    Paul

Watch for moving vans/sale agreed signs.

Operators share the same pool, different operators is of no benefit.

    Thanks Ed
    Follow on?
Got an install date from an operator today who said that they had confirmed with OpenEir that there was availability.
Any idea how definite that might be in reality? Is it possible operator will get to the cabinet before realising there are no ports there?

I *think* the order fails overnight if it cannot allocate a port, if the order is still open then it should mean one is free.
