Buying from Amazon.de

Could anyone give some advice on buying phones from Amazon.de?
I think I've found a good deal and it says "fulfilled by Amazon".
What do I need to check to be sure I'm safe buying from there and how are the guarantees compared to Amazon UK?
Can you ask for a UK charger or just get European plug as standard? I've been using an adapter for eu plug for years, would be nice to get something less bulky.
Would appreciate any advice on this.

If it's a standard USB charging lead you should be able to pick up an equivalent Uk plug for instead of using an adaptor

If your talking about a smartphone you can just use your excisting charger.
The transformer is in the socket and computer lead same in all...

Buying off .de is the exact same experience as co.uk so have no worries on that front.

I recently returned stuff to .de and it is painless. If there is a saving to be had - go for it!

Thanks all, bit the bullet today and ordered. Initial price does look better before VAT but still a good saving on the phone I was looking for. Wasn't thinking when I asked about the charger. I currently use an adapter for my old Motorola and the"turbo charge" still works perfectly fine, so should be same with this new phone.

Fingers crossed all works out well, will update in a few weeks when it arrives.

The one I ordered happens to be dual sim but wasn't something I was looking at. Is that something you'd use if travelling abroad a lot?
What did you end up buying instead?

I have 2 numbers so thats why I was after dual sim.

The second sim could be used for extra memory if needed.

I ended up with a S20 from .de . No issues at all.

Phone arrived a week ahead of schedule. Sealed and everything perfect. Fast charger works perfectly with UK adapter. Delighted with the phone and amazon service

why do you need parcel wiz or parcel motel? amazon.de usually deliver straight to Ireland

The postage can be cheaper to UK/NI than to ROI even when you factor in the €4 PW/PM/AP fee. Usually its quicker also.

usually anything ordered from amazon.de (seller amazon.de) send to UK first and then delivered to Ireland via anpost. Last item that i ordered few weeks ago arrived through UPS. delivery was quicker than anpost.
