I just paid my 11th month of my contract and wondering when i can cancel so i'm not hit with a cancellation fee.
My understanding is on the 12th payment that's my 12 months complete and will get a 30 day notice after that?
Does the the 13th month automatically come out as well since 30 days could roll into it?

If you want to cancel at the end of your contract, you should call them now and give your 30 days notice. You'll be charged a for whatever percent your roll into the 13th month.

If you wait until the 12th month payment, you will have to pay for all of the 13th.

    Digging this up,

Cancelled over the phone and got confirmation of cancellation through email.
Haven't received my final bill just another normal bill that runs an extra 14 days past my 30 days notice period. so bill is completely wrong. My understanding is you have to go chasing virgin media for any credit that is due so can foresee long back and forth phone calls.
What am i supposed to do? dread the thought having to ring them again, took 40 mins last time and that's not saying it's going to be resolved first time round

Total disaster of a company to deal with since this pandemic started, showing total contempt for there customers, bring on the end of my contract and it will be back to free to air for me.

If you haven't paid the final bill you could cancel your Direct Debit (or recall it if already debited) and work out and manually pay what you believe is the correct amount.

You do run the risk that they either disagree with your calculation or through incompetence don't credit back the overcharge and end up chasing you for the "debt".
