Homophobia

    Why are some people homoophobic? I have a relative who says they'd distance themselves if anyone in our family came out as gay. The interesting thing is, they aren't religious by any means.

    I'm just curious. I understand people have a right to believe what they want but they should still respect other peoples lives. Why the disdain for gay people?

    Is it innate or learned?
