Fortnightly payments

Do you think they'll switch back to weekly payments anytime soon? I am finding the fortnightly payments hard to manage, I'm not the best at managing/organising bills and such so weekly payments were easier for me.

I like the fortnightly payments but I know some people struggle.

I wonder if it saves them bank charges or anything doing it this way. I haven't heard anything about switching back but if social distancing requirements are going to be a thing for a while it may be around for a bit longer. That's just conjecture though, I have no idea!

Yeah, I figured they would keep the payments fortnightly for a while. I did send them an email asking if/when they would switch back to weekly payments but I got no reply.

There's been an announcement of a return to weekly payments starting in August by the DEASP. Here's a link to the announcement:

Thanks! Unfortunately the payment I get is still going to be paid fortnightly. They say it was to cut down on the footfall in post offices but I have always had my payment paid to my bank account. Oh well, hopefully they will review it again in the future.
