Has anyone had any success in improving old acne scarring from any specific treatments?
I had automated micro needling done years ago which did improve things but i still feel more improvements could be made.
I am considering Active FX resurfacing laser + PRP(platelet rich plasma injection), but i am a little apprehensive as i dont know anybody else who has had it done that had very good results?
It has 2 weeks down time and costs around 1000 upwards, so im a bit unsure what to do.
If anyone has any tips , ideas on what procedures were helpful in reducing acne scarring /hyperpigmentation and Who performed it I would love to hear!:)

I had some improvement a few years back with chemical peels - no real downtime, some flaking for a few days but never so bad that I couldn't leave the house. I'd just bring some cream and makeup with me for topups every few hours.

I'd also look at your general skincare regime. I use Image, lots from the Ageless and MD range whcih have a lot of active ingredients such as retinol.

Finally, for the past month I've been taking the time capsule from Hush&Hush (same people as Image) and I've had a few people comment on how well my skin is looking. I don't really have an issue around pigmentation but I would be prone to redness and had acne in my teens which did leave some scarring.

Personally I'd make sure your skincare routine was up to par before spending €1k on a procedure. Have you had a skin consultation. I could recommend someone if you're based in Dublin.

On the subject of pigmentation - are you wearing daily spf? And I mean 365 days per year regardless of weather.

    Thanks for reply.....
Im pretty good with my skin regime, using vitamin C serum, Hyloronic acid, Retinol 1% cream, and am good to wear sun cream. Im very wary of my skin since this acne scarring happened a good few years back and i really try to take care of it now.
I have had consultations, and both doctors /dermatologists have said next step for me would be co2 laser, I just would really like to hear other peoples experiences if anyone had this procedure done or a similar procedure for acne scarring /pigmentation. I would be open to go to Cork, Limerick or Dublin. Anywhere, to get the procedure done well and safely. Both specialists seem very good, but its great to hear peoples first hand opinion .experience before going ahead with it.......
I considered phenol peel , but that seems very severe !!!

Acne scarring is so hard to get rid of once you have it.......i have a few deep ones ......and now some pigmentation , so just not happy with it

Would be happy for you to recommend, can we say names on this ? not sure

My friend is on a product treatment plan for pigmentation with Kerry Hanaphy, they will see how that goes and then look at laser if it's needed, so sounds like she's a step behind you in that you've tried the products already. She hasn't had the laser but I know she is very happy with the service so far and if it does progress to laser she would definitely stay with Kerry Hanaphy. I know a few people who've been there for anti-wrinkle injections and were very happy with the work.

I’ve had IPL laser on my face for acne scarring and found it very good. It also corrected some hyperpigmentation and reduced overall redness.
I had one session a month for about 8 months, was well worth every cent.
