Telephone harassment

I had an issue more than a year ago where a disagreement between myself and a co-worker blew up and he began harassing me with anonymous phone calls to my personal mobile number. I say anonymous as the number was blocked but I answered some calls & spoke with the person. There were hundreds in a 24 hour period and I went to the police. The police spoke to him and the calls stopped. No criminal charges were made and there was no investigation as I didn't want to go down that route at the time.

The harassment is now starting up again, not by phone calls this time but by other means.

Can I go back to the gardai and ask them to go down the criminal route and bring this person to court over the phone harassment from last year? Will the fact that I asked them not to do a criminal investigation last year block me from taking action now?

The best thing to do is report the new harassment and refer to the previous incidents and leave it up to the Garda regarding what action is to be taken.
There is little doubt you have queered the pitch by asking them not to prosecute last year but it may not be fatal.

    Couldn't be more innacurate .

OP...report the renewed harassment to the authorities.
