    It all depends on the weight, the volume and how quick you want it to get there.

    Friend of mine used the paddy store to send a gift box to Australia recently. Good option for a 'taste of home' style package.

    Australia have restrictions. Nothing to do with an post. Same with Royal mail and Deutsche Post.

    Only sizes up to large envelope and 500g accepted. Very few flights from Europe to Australia.

    Only parcel service is Dhl/FedEx /UPS who all have their own cargo aircraft.

    And they are expensive.

    There can also be issues with what's in the package. An Australian relative of mine wanted to send stuff back home when he was here, but couldn't send some items.

    DHL and FedEx are expensive. I find UPS to be the most affordable.

    Try www.parcel2go.com/ie/ for a quote.

    You might get a better price with them than going to the likes of Fedex/TNT/UPS directly.
