Lenova laptop stuck on automatic repair

    Just wondering what's the story with this it just starts up lenovo logo comes up on screen and starts going in to automatic repair it's only 18 months old, is it for the scrap heap or is there a quick fix for it any help much appreciated.

    That happened to me too. You are going to have to go into the boot screen of your computer and then set it back to a time before that happened.

    No, it's not for the scrap heap. Only the disk is affected, either the data on it or the disk itself.

    Data corruption can cause this, it could be serious or just a very minor thing that can fix itself. If the disk itself is faulty i.e the disk is failing causing the data corruption, you'd have to replace it, not the whole laptop.

    But more often than not it's just a minor data corruption issue that the system can fix. If the system can't fix it you might have to reset Windows, by pressing certain keys on boot-up that will bring you to a special menu for doing that kind of thing.

    There's a few things to try, just try the simplest things first, leave any kinds of 'reset' option as a last resort because you will loose your current setup if you reset, obvs.
