My NCT was due in mid-May and it was extended to mid-September due to the Covid-19 pandemic. When I get my car tested in September, will the certificate be valid until September 2022 or only until May 2022, the date it would have been valid to if I had done the test in May?

My NCT was due in April.
Did the part without the lift in February.
Did the lift part last month.
    Cert. is valid until August.

So it looks like it's the extended date, but not sure if that's universal.

The certificate will be valid until September 2022. The new expiry date for all NCTs that expire after 28th March has been permanently pushed out by 4 months.

Yep.. mine was originally due December this year. Now April 2021

It's also 10 years old this year so I want the 2 year cert. As this means doing it 3 months early, originally that would have meant doing it in September

Called them up and as long as I have it passed by early January 2021, I'll get the 2 year cert (through January 2023) :)
