I see a cretin in the weather forum try to impose his own interpretation on a new insight that has ancient roots with no specific geographical origin. Its most recent expression in written form is the Canopus decree where the grouping of 36 different stars appeared at dawn (Decans) every 10 days.

".. on account of the procession of the rising of Sirius by one day in the course of 4 years,.. therefore it shall be, that the year of 360 days and the 5 days added to their end, so one day shall be from this day after every 4 years added to the 5 epagomenae before the new year" Canopus Decree 238 BC

It is because 21st century people can observe the transition of Sirius from an evening to morning appearance using a satellite from space or what effectively is the change in the position of a star from left to right of the central/stationary Sun due to the orbital motion of the Earth. The ancient observation can now be resolved in the most satisfying way -

Too many empirical pimps around who bluff their way with history and the sycophants who surround and defend these cretins who owe their origin to late 17th century Royal Society vandalism.

The idea is not to contend with these cretins but to find people who are inspired by what our ancestors actually did and just how exquisite their observations remain to those capable of dignity and intellectual stature.

Posting below standard for science fora, use of words such as cretins and pimps is at least unconstructive, even argumentative, thread closed
