My sister is looking at a Superb business edition. I won’t get a chance to go down and look at the car, but any references I’ve seen to Business edition were in the U.K. and any photos I see on Carzone look like they are imports. Does anyone know if they sold the business ess edition over here?

Pretty sure it’s a uk spec.

We have the Superb combi business it’s a Uk import as is any business spec, it’s well spec’d - similar to the style spec in Ireland but has one or two nice bits not on the style like built in wireless charger but also lacks one or two bits that are on the style I think. Overall a nice well spec’d car. Only thing it lacks that I’d like are the auto dimming lights.

Yeah, looks like a nice motor. It’s down as Ambition Business spec which is what’s confusing me. I thought Ambition was the Irish trim level, but it has half leather which none of the Ambitions I saw had.

Coming from a Skoda dealer with 2 years warranty. After looking at a few tired ones in Dublin I’m glad she’s buying from a main dealer. Hopefully she’ll get the same 400,000 km out of this one as he has her current one.

There was a business pack that you could add to an ambition for a while - had half leather/alcantara.

That could be the one alright. Fairly sure she said it’s half leather. The reg has a low number so it’s unlikely to be an import.

If it's coming from a skoda dealer then it's definitely not an import as they frown at that sort of thing

They don't, they import themselves through the Skoda network over there and sell on here

I went with my friend couple of years ago to a well known kildare main dealer who does skoda and vag he was buying a superb and were adamant they did not have anything to do with UK cars yet the time i was in before that they had quite a few on the uk plates my post was tongue in cheek as have seen it in other main dealer brands

That was a favorite line by the SIMI too but then their members realized that due to ample supply and a decent sterling exchange that there was more margin to be made by selling UK imports here.
