Assesable spouse form - wife unemployed

Hello,

My wife has just recently arrived to Ireland and is currently unemployed. Because of that she has no PPS and has no Revenue.ie account.

I declared our marriage and was asked to fill in the assesable spouse form.

Few questions:

1) My pay was cut in half for the months of April, May and June. What income do I declare for myself? Is it the work contract income?

2) What income do I declare for my unemployed wife? If I put 0 (since she is uneployed as of now) What happens when she gets a job in two months time?

1. you should be able to estimate your income for 2020, taking into account the 3 months@ 50%. use gross income

2. its only an estimate so its fine to put in 0.

has your wife applied for a PPS#?

Funnily enough she has applied for it but rejected because she does not have a job offer. PPS is useless unless you want to avail of any public services or open a bank account, both of which she cannot do because she needs a job offer first.

But somehow we were able to take out health insurance.
