Received my renewal forms in post today. I am the person claiming as I work FT. What way are temp jobs assessed for income purposes? My partner is doing a 12 week contract which will not be extended. He is due to finish up end of September (I will include a copy of his contract in application). This will of course overlap with the timeframe I have to submit the forms. He will likely sign back on in the interim until he gets work (prob after Christmas when youngest can be accommodated in creche)

Worried now we will be hit financially because he took up employment! His previous job was and is still closed due to COVID and the delay in reopening the last phase.

Thanks in advance for any help/info.

They will assess the household income as it currently is. Generally speaking, once you're awarded WFP, the payment amount is fixed for 12 months and I'm unsure as to whether the system has the flexibility to take account of the reduction in household income when his contract ends.

(worst case scenario, you could consider not applying until his contract has come to an end. )
