Hi I don't no what to do , I'm working in a warehouse over 5 years moved up to supervisor but I need to get out cant do this for next 30 years of my life . Saving for a mortgage but I know if I get a house I am stuck in my job .

I need a career I like doing and wont mind getting up every morning instead of dreading going to work I'm getting anxiety as I'm not getting younger and should have a career and a house/family like other people my age.

I'm thinking of doing an apprenticeship as an electrician just not sure if I'm to old to be taking on , and the money is pretty bad for the first 3 years anyway. Only bad thing is your body could be In bits when your in your 40s and 50s

    Or

Going back to college and do Physiotherapy there is a 3 year course in portobello to study sports therapy and be
eligible to apply for a Masters in Physiotherapy In RCSI

What is the best career for the future with regards to work being available .

Any advice would be great thanks.

I think Physio would be a very rewarding job but challenging. Have a few friends do it in the GAA circle and out of gyms.

As our population in Ireland is aging their should also be a higher demand for it?

You should get over this mentality first

You have your own clock, don't compare your life to anyone else.

You do what makes you happy.

Good point, I would say to not to worry about other people lives you dont no what others are going through behind closed door, they might seem happy and put up pictures on soical media but thats all fake .

Maybe go and see someone and talk about it ,

Life isn't a race, you may look at people your own age getting a house or starting a family but so what the excitement of owning a house quickly wears off , then your left with Bill's and running of a house they prob wont have another holiday for a long time especially if have kids , you have plenty of time to buy a house and start a family dont rush it because you think you should keep up with other people.

Looked up the salary for a physiotherapist, 35k it's not good at all for what you do, then trying to find a job after finishing college and paying back college fees .

Electrician trade would be good Get paid while learning and when qualified will be on at least 50k
Can also do nixers for cash or start your own business

If dont fancy doing a 4 year apprenticeship can train as an alarm installer dealing with alarm installation and CCTV, salary is around 30k - 40k but wont go that much higher. If you do an electrical apprenticeship will have better options though.

I'm a big fan of trades. I'd go for electrician.

Your worry about having a disability which stops you from being able to do your job can apply to all sorts of jobs.

Also if you're very much not an academic type then a trade would be a better option.

I think though both are decent options.

Assume physio would be minimum 4 year degree? If i could go back in time i think its something i would really enjoy. I think alot of people seem to do 4/5 years training in the uk, prob cheaper and more optons.
