    Hi,

A part fell off my Volvo s60 at the weekend.

It was a black rubber strip located underneath the car, just a little behind the front bumper assembly and secured by about 5 or 6 screws.

It ran across the entire width of the car.

Anyone any ideas of what the part is called?

Probably the front bumper valance, or chin-spoiler.

Call into your local Volvo dealer parts department with your VIN number.

I needed an internal part for a Volvo seat a few years ago. They pulled up a 3D model of the seat, selected the part, and gave me the part number. They had it delivered from the UK the following day, for not much money.

Recently, I needed a single screw for my current car, couldn't find online. Same story with the dealer. 3D model, part number, delivery within 24 hours from the UK, in it's own labelled plastic bag with part number, for the grand total of €1.90.

People complain about dealer prices, but it's the backup network which you're paying for.

Thanks for that, but it was 3 to 4 inches behind the bottom of the chin spoiler.

    Soft rubber part.

    Hopefully this makes it clearer.

I don't think it is, it literally was a flexible bit of rubber, maybe like a guard or something!

Just ring the local dealer and get it from them.
