Hi, have an i30, 2013. Last few months very stiff
To get into gear and change through. Not all the time but can be very annoying.
Any ideas? And am I doing harm by leaving it for a week while garage is closed. Thankyou

Clutch master cylinder, there's a modified one. Very common

Cheers, thought it was clutch. Full.replacement? Safe enough to drive for another week or see what happens...

Clutches are common, but more common for the master. Drive on for now

Usually if the master cylinder is giving jip they get worn because the clutch pressure plate is gone stiff.

Fitting a new master cylinder takes some of the weight off the pedal for a while but if you're at the point of doing the master cylinder, clutch replacement is on the cards really.

Seen several cases of replacement master cylinders coming back after a few weeks needing clutches anyway.

It's worth a shot to tide you over but i'd prepare for needing a clutch.
