    Hi all,

I am a full time YouTuber and I am currently building my own computer through buying parts on amazon. The PC will be solely used for business purposes (making videos)

How do I go about expensing this? adding it all together and writing it off as one computer?

And would this be classified as a business asset meaning I could only write an 8th of it off every year for 8 years?

    Appreciate any help

by the letter you should capitalise and claim CA over 8 years, if new computer. i suppose you could also argue that you are 'repairing' an existing computer with new components.

Will any of your old computer still be present, the case for example?

if its less than ~€1,000 i'm usually inclined to expense entirely in the year.
