Well since i got the bushnell binoculars I've been out "wildlife watching" and was thinking of getting a spotting scope for a bit more magnification on animals and the like. Was wondering which people prefer, straight or angled.Ive looked through an angled scope and I found it awkward never looked through a straight one.
Is it possible to get one with reasonable magnification and clear optics for €150.Was looking at a celestron 16×48×65 straight for £70 down from £200 on uttings. They seem a fairly well regarded brand.Cheers.

The link isn’t working for me. I have one of these I’m not really using and would be willing to part with. Pm me if interested. https://www.bresser.de/en/Sport-Optics/Spotting-Scopes/YUKON-6-100x100-Spotting-Scope.html

Well I bought the above scope and think its great.Light gathering quality was great and its fairly consistent in image quality from its lowest to highest. For the price I paid I would recommend it as a basic starter scope or one thats going to be used occasionally.

I bought the 100mm straight one on that sale a few weeks back. I'm very happy with the quality of it, great value at that money.

I looked at that and almost bought it last week.

At what kind of range do you reckon you could easily see bullet holes on your target with it?

I haven't used it for shooting spotting yet only wildlife.Have been looking at buzzards and other birds at a fair distance maybe 600yds away and its perfectly clear. It is good heavy scope and feels well made.Id say buy it via PayPal and try it and if it doesn't suit you can claim the cost of return back from PayPal.The one thing I like is it has a twist up eye relief piece not the rubber fold down ones.

I bought this to try out for target shooting and I have to say it is excellent. My father was so impressed he picked one up for himself. Very clear and hard to beat for the price.
