I was going to buy blackout fabric and put it on the inner tube of the old blind myself - figured better that than €60+ to have one made but I have been offered a brand new Argos blind at a great price.

It is 5 foot wide. This is measured from bracket to bracket according to Argos customer service but can anyone here confirm this?

I'm not sure but I think the window is 156 cm and that the inner tube is 154 cm.

I was hoping that there would be no need to change the brackets.

You don’t want the blind to be exactly as wide as the opening either way.

Brackets are probably specific to the blind model so prepare for maybe having to change them.

Adding blackout material to an existing blind might stop it rolling up.

    That was quick ;)

I did mean to also ask if anyone knows what type of brackets they use. It would be great if they are the same and that the blind just fitted as I have a hand injury and cannot use the drill.
And I meant remove the old fabric and replace it with blackout material but I did not explain the properly. I don't have the confidence that I could do it right though.

Can you post a link to the blind you’re looking at?
Maybe a picture of the existing blind/bracket setup

Ive been using one of these - https://www.bellababy.ie/easynight-blackout-bliind.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9b_4BRCMARIsADMUIyrsZkguvthnIN6XFAV2dh8YwHqpv8ttv8_Hn-gLp9rwllz62u8XPf8aAme2EALw_wcB - but they keep falling down

I would be happy to save myself money and keep using it by pinning or gluing it at the top of the window frame but I would like to be able to pull it up when I need to. I cannot thing of anyway to do that.
