LED downlighter lamps

    I need to change the lamps (or bulbs as some would say) in our kitchen;

    Currently has 12 GU10 (240V) 50W installed - burns 600W which is ridiculous in my opinion.

    I changed them to LED's a couple of weeks ago but the first person to enter the kitchen nearly had a stroke as they thought that their eyesight was after failing. I have tried various different LED's but all were useless. Even with 12 downlighters the room is very dark with LED's.

    Has anyone got any suggestions for good LED lamps? A lot of them are 5 watts or so - I wouldn't mind if they were 15 or 20W as I might have decent light and I would still be running a lot less than 600 watts.

    I've fitted some JCC 6W 500 Lumens
    The supplier I purchased from; there website is currently down for maintenance but see link here for a good range of stock. I have pictures of the units in the next link below this.

    Built to last
    As saw in my home improvement thread here after the radiator install:

    When we re-wired our house we put in Collingswood downlighters from FibreLed. They suggested Toshiba led bulbs that are 8watts. Not cheap at €20ish per bulb but they’re in over 8 yrs and no diminishment in the quality of light. They’ve a heat sink built into the bulb that apparently helps prolong bulb life.
