After last weekends expedition, my only bike requires some TLC. So I am looking for another. Could spend around 1000, give or take. Ideally something thats comfortable for 200k rides as well as handle canal paths and kerbs, something that can take 32c tyres etc etc. The only catch is thay I need it by this weekend. :(

PS: I am also considering a Specialized Diverge, but schedule issues could get in the way.

I have a 56cm cub nu road fe, tiagra groupset, disc brakes, schwalbe g one 35mm tires, dynamo hub with lights, mudguards and carrier, its 2 tone grey, very suitable for tow paths and canal banks. Bike is in vgc and is less than a year old with little mileage. Based in Raheny

As regards price, I'd like E900, as it hasn't got over a thousand kms on it, and it cost over E1650 when new

Thank you, I will read up on it. On the first look it looks like a nice sensible bike. Would 56 be the right size in Cube, for someone 179 cm & 83 inseam?

Cube bikes were sizing small in the past but it seems this issue is fixed in newer models. For example, Cube Peloton 56cm had ETT of 545mm and it's successor Cube Attain has ETT of 560mm for the same frame size.

What year is that bike Paul and what is max size tyre you would squeeze on?

I presume rims aren't tubeless ready?

bike is 2019, rims and tires are tubless ready, they are G one 35mm TLEs, frame will take 40mm tires but you may need to change the front mudguard if you are going 40mm.

Apologies I meant to comment here a few days ago - I picked up a Specialized Diverge Comp. Thanks everyone, and especially Paul.
