Bath Install Advise

    Hi

I’m changing a bath and need some advice on how to fix the new bath to the walls.

I installed battens and have the bath sitting on those as well as some 2 x4 under the feet. My next step will be to install some classi seal and then fix the bath to the wall. I’m thinking of using tec7 to glue the bath to the walls, running a thick bead above the battens and then moving the bath into place. Would this work, or would it react with the classi seal? Any better suggestions.

Also, should I screw the feet to the 2x4 before fitting the bath and then screw the 2x4 to the floor when the bath is in place?

Some pics - https://imgur.com/a/tj6MOzS The bath is installed in an alcove, which is making manoeuvring it into place difficult.

    Thanks.

Not a plumber or fitter but maybe this might be of some use?

Plenty of tech 7 where you suggested and I wouldn’t bother with the classi seal.

Thanks, this is more geared towards US style baths.

Cool thanks for that. I have already bought the classi seal, so may as well use it. Does anyone see any issue using the classi seal and tec7?

No there’s no issue. I just don’t like the way classi deal isn’t stuck to anything for the first 1” over the bath
