beer not bubbling

Hi all, ive a stout thats been in the fermenter for about 3/4 days now but ive not seen it bubble yet, is it just slow at starting or have a lost it and yeast isn't active?

The airlock doesn't tell you anything useful. No bubbles doesn't mean no fermentation as the gas can be escaping some other way. Leave it a week then check the gravity.
