I read reviews of movies in newspapers.

Some say they’re on Netflix, others Apple or Amazon, etc.

But, some say merely, “On digital platforms now”.

    What does this mean?

I only have Netflix, and if I look for these movies/docs on it, they’re not there.

    Where are they?

    Thanks.

    D.

    Thanks.

I’ve just read a review in the FT of “The Girl with a Bracelet”. It’s on digital platforms.

The Justwatch site doesn’t have it.

It's on Curzon home cinema apparently which is an independent movie streaming service. Not sure if content is available in all countries though, that movie is listed as being on in the UK anyway

    https://www.curzonhomecinema.com/

It's 9.99 a month but also says that movie is available for 9.99 rental I presume

I assume the FT are being deliberately vague because which digital platform a film is on (if any) may vary depending on the country the reader is in.

It's the equivalent of saying "In theatres now". Does that mean every multiplex in the country? The local cinema? Or just one or two places throughout the country that normally show movies that don't get a wide release?

The same logic (somewhat) applies to the streaming era.
