Heat pump retrofit advice

I would like to add a heat pump to my home - but I'm struggling to figure out the best way to plumb it into the system and could do with some advice.

My home is newly renovated & fully insulated - but standard steel radiators - no underfloor heating. Currently the only heat source is a multi-fuel stove that heats hot water and radiators brilliantly - but I would like something more eco-friendly and that can be operated via a time-clock/thermostat.

I've had some people advise me a buffer tank is needed - others said its not.

I want to keep the boiler stove and still use it - and add the heat pump as an additional heat source. I'm struggling to figure exactly where and how to tap into the existing pipes...

    Any advice is appreciated.
