replacing Laptop battery

need to replace battery what should I look out for and how much to spend, model is Laptop model Fujitsu Lifebook A512 /AH512 BATTERY FUBP250-T-352P
I also need a battery port as the lead and charger are relatively new but the port isnt connecting properly to the connector plug, Ive been supporting it with elastic to hold it in place, no doubt this cant be good for it, but needs must!! many thanks in advance

else take your chance on aliexpress from china (same sellers on ebay but at least can see some reviews on aliexpress) but will take ages to arrive possibly. maybe chance a good seller from Europe

Thanks to all of you for the prompt response and sound advice,battery is small money. what kind of money and model would I be looking for an update, mainly use it for MS Word, /Internet

I found myself that with replacement batterys if you can't pick up an original unused one the aftermarket are not up to the same standard at all, yes they might work fine for 3 or 4 months but they will never replicate the original. Ideally I would spend around €350-€500 on a new laptop that in theory will have a useful life of 5 years plus.

I see there is a big difference in battery prices Duracell €64.99, e bay €29.59 it doesn't say how many hours my guess is it standard 4 hours

battery capacity is measured in watt hours most accurately which is mah by voltage

the voltage is std for this battery at 10.8v so this 6600mah battery should be the longest lasting

the standard of aftermarket batteries has improved over the last number of years and not as crap as they used to be.

check the seller % rating on ebay and read feedback comments which will give some idea at least.
