Humax Problem With LG TV

Don't know which forum this belongs in so I will try this one.

I recently purchased an LG 55SM8200PLA Smart TV. Happy enough with it, apart from an issue that it has with my Humax 1100S.
If I am watching something on a different input, Apple TV or even the Netflix App on the TV itself, every so often an annoying popup comes up in the centre of screen which is coming from the Humax input.
It only lasts for a few seconds but comes up about every 15 minutes or so.
I have tried changing inputs and got a new high speed hdmi cable but it still happens.
It is only the humax that does this all of the other inputs are fine. I have posted an image of the pop up Any joy on how to disable this?

The Humax spins up the disks and connects to the internet every 15-20 mins to check if any programs have been set by the Freesat app for recording. As part of this spinning up and connecting to the internet, the HDMI port goes live and it seems your LG offers to connect to that input. Not sure if you can disable that on the LG though.

    ^^^
From another forum - this might work from settings menu (I think it should be set off not on. The forum link below has posts that contradict themselves)

    Setup
    General
SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) Click it from OFF to ON

check to see if it needs a software update? you are not alone, a factory rest may work as well but it may need sending back. post back i you get a fix.

I have a LG as well. Every time I turn on the PS4 before changing the input, it'll popup the same. As far as I know it's a 'feature' of LG TVs seemingly. Doesn't bother me as the Humax is in another room on a Samsung TV which doesn't do this.

Ok, so I fixed it. Turns out that when you have the freesat app on your phone, the humax box wakes up every 20 mins and connects to the internet to check if there are any new recordings sent to the box through the phone app. I unpaired the app from the box and hey presto, no more popup. I can always re-pair if I am away, but I never use the option at home so not an issue to have it unpaired.

Now that is an interesting little glitch and glad you sorted it and came back with fix.
