Has anyone on jobseekers had their Seetec appointment via phonecall?
    and how'd it go

I'm seeing a lot of threads on here with people debating whether to sign certain agreements and stuff, but how do they try squeeze a signature out of you over the phone anyway?

My neighbour did, he said it was rambling nonsense, I was surprised this shower, along with tua nua are still around. Seems ridiculous, par as no one permitted to go their offices and I doubt very much there's anyone interviewing for jobs at the moment.

I do fear, these two companies are rubbing their hands with glee at the possibility of them being reengaged at enormous cost to the state one the pandemic unemployment payment ends soon.

My girlfriend has been dealing with jobpath since last September 2019. Her first meeting was end of August 2019 last year. She attending meeting with supervisor every fortnight from September 2019 onwards. Didnt sign the progression plan til Dec 2019, she said she had doubts about it. But she signed it 3 or 4 months after frist attending meeting. First meetin secretary signed where my girlfriend should have signed on progression plan. The supervisor said it was to get witness or something. This was September 2019. She didnt sign the progression plan til Dec 2019.
Question is should she be finished with jobpath in September 2020 since she has been 12 months dealing with them then or did her time only begin when she signed the progression plan in december 2019 last year. Basically is she finished with them next month in September which is12 months after she first started attending meetings and dealing with supervisor or is it when she signed Progession plan which was last December 2019.

They have a record of her first attendance and it will be based on that date. I worked for Seetec for a short while after I retired last year but was not interested in full time work, so I have a part time job now.

The progression plan signature is essentially to justify Seetac"s, Jobspath & Turus Nua's existence, its meaningless but insures they continue to get their fee"s. Looked at it a different way, these private companies are recruitment agencies, nothing more, nothing less and have to show results, there's also substantial sign off fees if victims get full time work even if it was not obtained with the assist of these companies. Fees in the thousands I might add.

Your girlfriend needs to understand, the 12 months is also not relevant, they retain the right to extend engagement, it can and will be extended. I've a neighbour in his very late 50's and is now in his 3rd full year with Turas Nua (FRS Recruitment by its other name). Indeed he's been appointed a new case manager who is actually an indirect neighbour, which in itself is curious.

Whilst social distancing has stopped his weekly silly hourly consultation, they now call him once a week to re hash nonsense gone over 1000 times previously. He also gets homework, yes homework.

Whilst both these organisations were stopped from taking new victims in 2019, they are mandated to continue to Harass, "sorry help" existing victims.

This said, with the NEW Rules regarding the PUP, pandemic unemployment payment re "must be looking for work", I predict these companies will be re engaged at a cost of well over a €100 million in the coming months, they were the brain child of Leo Veradker, so let's see what happens.

Thanks Dempo1 and liamo57 above for your responses. They have been very helpful. Has anyone here being kept longer then 12 months with jobpath?. I know they can extend longer, but has anyone here been extended longer then 12 months. How long have most people being involved with them. Are must let go after 12 months?

Agreed and with no new clients at the moment and I suspect that's going to change, they'll milk as much out of existing clients for as long as possible

Seetec are contracted to do a job. They provide a service and I was impressed by the courtesy in which they treat everyone. They genuinely try to get employment for those who are really interested and they genuinely try to get long term unemployed people into employment. Everyone is treated respectfully, I know, I worked there for a short period, so all the negitive stuff posted is not true.
