    Silly question but what part of the transmttor send out the signal. I can see the top of truskmore from my house but rest I'd blocked by mountain. Need to know before I go buying aerial etc as it's physically only 20km away.

    The TV transmitting aerial is at the top. (From a distance will look like a long white cylinder.)

    Thanks Elvis. I can see lights at night and top section. Hard judge from a distance but should be OK so.

    You should be fine. I'm very close to Truskmore but for years I could get no signal because there's another ridge in between . Once they erected the new mast I was able to see the tip on a sunny day and the light at night. Since then I've an outdoor aerial in the attic feeding three TVs with no amplification
