    Hi Volvo s40 2008 1.8 F

    Intermittent non start,

    Recognises key, disengages steering lock.

Code reader shows around 12v to all modules like abs, steering etc but only 7.8v to ecu

Checking fuses with voltmeter all read 12v.

Have found very light corrosion on multiplugs at ecu, which is clean and dry.

    Cem connections are clean.

Any suggestions and what should supply voltage be to ecu?

    Thanks a million

Turns out wiggling ignition switch caused flickering and stuttering. Disassembled and retensioned, working well. Great feeling.

Anybody know why the voltage is not 12v to the ecu? For interest only.
