    My parents gaff is all antique furniture. Got some of the chairs resprung a while ago but they sank again pretty rapidly and are apparently a nightmare to reupholster.

    Not trying to spend a fortune but going around some more swish places might give us some ideas about what to do with the curtains and carpets which are 40+ years old and in serious need of replacement. Need a living room set of furniture really. Can't really go with the modern/mid century stuff that's on the go now it'd look daft with the big mahongany cabinets and massive fireplace. Maybe need to go to the UK and root through outlet stores? Picture attached.
