Hi there just wondering has anyone any experience of the brand FPM. Looking at changing from drum to disc mower and local dealer has these in stock. Never heard of them so just wondering about reliability and quality. Apparently made in Poland but Comer bed & gearbox from Italy. Looking at €5400 for the 7 foot. Cheers.

Had a quick look at them, didn't like the bed, seemed light and if the bed bends or twists then its goodnight Irene for the mower.
Stuff looks light with far too many bolts holding stuff together.
I'd be looking to buy a new Kevereland or Kuhn. They cost more day 1 but would always be cheaper than a poor quality machine

Thanks a million. Yeah was thinking might be best to avoid these unknown brands when it comes to reliability. Prob best to stick with tried & trusted. Have looked at the Kevereland brochure and talked to a Kuhn dealer today. The 8 foot Kuhn is €7200 I think but has second hand 7 foot for €3500 . The Kevereland are a bit dearer I think. Prob best to go new with these yokes I suppose, you just don't know what they've done. We have a 5'6" roto 165 drum mower but this starting to leave a bit of grass between the two drums, can't figure out why. Blades new and belts tightened so we're just gonna take the jump & invest in a wider disc mower.

The bit in the middle was answered here few weeks ago and majority said the drum mower spreads apart leaving the strip in the middle
